Step into the new season and cosy up in style with our collection of elevated knitwear - shot and styled by the talented stylist and wonderful Strathberry brand ambassador Marina Ingvarsson on the grounds of her beautiful upstate New York home. Perfectly capturing the mood of a crisp early autumn morning, Marina shows us how to expertly style and layer pieces from the collection. We’ve caught up with her about her ultimate styling notes for the colder season, her plans for winter, and her thoughts on a more sustainable approach towards shopping.

What is your favourite piece from the Strathberry Cashmere Collection, and how will you style it this coming season?

“My favourite piece is definitely the beige Logo Scarf - it's so versatile and easy to style with almost anything - a coat, a sweater, a jacket - in either matching or contrasting tones. A statement piece and a practical item - this scarf is both!”

What inspired your chosen looks from this Strathberry campaign?

“The balance of elegant and practical. Also the perfect use of the logo in the scarves - both visible and yet still subtle due to the choice of soft half-tones.”

What are your go-to looks for the colder season?

“I would usually go for a chunky sweater, a quilted jacket and a cashmere coat in either beige, light grey or charcoal - very easy to mix and match.”

How do you refine your autumn wardrobe?

“The choice of footwear is what I start with. Sneakers or high heels for the city and the heavier boots when upstate can dramatically change the same look - plus little accents and accessories that make it even more appropriate for the place, the time and the occasion - that's the best way to go in my opinion.”

What's your favourite winter holiday destination?

“Banff in Canada or Bruges in Belgium - both pure magic around Christmas. The last two winters have taught me not to take anything for granted, so this year I'll prioritise life's simple pleasures, contemplation, family time and self-care.”

Can you share any advice for a more sustainable and responsible approach to shopping?

“Pick the colour and tone range for the season that suits you best, and stay with it. Stick to neutrals like beige, grey, black - the timeless colours that would match perfectly with trendier statement pieces of the given season. For the same reason, focus on high quality items with a more understated design. Rent the less practical fashion statement pieces when you can, especially the ones intended for an event or occasion. Regularly check your wardrobe every season - avoid hoarding and clutter - donate or rent out the items less used. Not only is this more sustainable for the environment and the economy, but for your own emotional well-being, too.”
