Strathberry X 10th Anniversary Press Trip

A long table is set with candles and flowers

On 25th October, Strathberry were delighted to host a group of influential UK and international editors in our hometown of Edinburgh, for an exciting few days discovering more about the brand’s history and craftsmanship, whilst exploring the city.

Our guests enjoyed a 5-star stay at the Kimpton Hotel, in the heart of  Edinburgh’s picturesque New Town. Overlooking  the iconic Charlotte Square, the renowned Edinburgh hotel is a blend of traditional glamour and eclectic interiors, mixed with the warmth of Scottish hospitality.

Strathberry welcomed the group to our Grade-A listed, West End Townhouse - one of a few buildings in the capital on the UNESCO World Heritage list - where they were able to hear more about the brand’s key principles of design and craftsmanship. Our founders, Guy and Leeanne, and our in-house design team, talked the group through the brand’s creative process and demonstrated the level of care and attention to detail that goes into the making of each Strathberry bag.

This was followed by a wonderful leather painting workshop from Katy Bell, in which editors created their own designs and personalised our signature wallets and purses. Then, a visit to our bespoke Showroom allowed guests to experience the exclusive space and latest collections, with a chance to personalise their Strathberry bags with on-site embossing.

The week was filled with an exclusive visit to the iconic Edinburgh Castle with Visit Scotland, a wonderful dinner at The Outsider overlooking the city’s most iconic landmark, a delicious champagne afternoon tea in the historic Waldorf Astoria and a wonderful tour of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. It was there the group were able to discover the works of Italian/Scottish artist Edorardo Paolozzi, whose art and focus on geometric lines were the inspiration for our best-selling Mosaic Collection.

The trip then ended with an intimate dinner at Satine St Stephen, hosted by our founders Guy and Leeanne, with eye-catching seasonal flower arrangements from Rogue Flowers, to celebrate Strathberry’s 10th Anniversary.
